“The Game of Life, also known simply as Life, is a cellular automaton devised by the British mathematician John Horton Conway in 1970.”
The font Meta Plus is trying to survive Game of Life, which allows the constituting letters to go silent, according to the strict mathematical rules of the game. All steps of mutations are visible, and the cell’s lifespan affects the reading time. Finally, a new language can appear, evolve and then disappear, according to the Game of Life rules.

Posters produced as a part of the experimental graphic design project GAO : Graphisme Assisté par Ordinateur, developed with Lise Armand.
